Explosion Protection

Explosion suppression installations are designed to prevent the generation of high pressures by fuel-air explosions  in vessels. Explosion suppression installations do not prevent an explosion from occuring but mitigate its effects on the protected equipment and personnel. The flames are quenched in the early stages of explosion development. In this way personnel in the vicinity of the installation are protected from being hurt, and destruction of the installation is prevented.
